Wal-Mart Music Store is a substantial, no-frills music download service that takes the process of searching for a song to a new level of simplicity. They offer more than one million WMA and MP3 format songs. Also, with a price tag of just $.88 for WMA songs and $.99 for MP3s, Wal-Mart is truly one of the best values around. However, we were disappointed you can’t narrow your search to a specific file format. We would love to see a search filter for MP3 only or WMA only.

Since iPods do not work with WMA files, Walmart lets you know if your iPod will work with the songs you are considering downloading right in the check out screen. Because Wal-Mart Music Store doesn't require you to download a whole music player program before you can get music, we gave it a perfect score.

Their selection includes most popular artists and their recent albums. However, we need to caution you that the more explicit songs and albums are edited and there is no way to get the unedited versions. 

Walmart also has other digital medial like movies and television shows.

We found that the download center is only 100 percent compatible with Internet Explorer. You can browse through the selection in a different browser, but if you want to buy something we suggest you log out and use IE.
