All songs are in MP3 format, which means they are compatible with all MP3 players including iPod and Zune. For $11.99 a month, you can download up to 30 songs. That averages about $.33 per song. However, eMusic’s library is largely independent and it’s likely you won’t find the same songs and artists you hear on the radio.

Unlike most subscription services, the songs you download are yours and you can burn them to CD or place them on as many MP3 players you like. Even if you cancel your subscription, there is no expiration date on your music.
