BuyMusic.com gives simplicity new meaning. It is a decent music download site that has a lot to offer, but lacks many of the additional features including music selection and support that we feel a top music download service should provide.

BuyMusic.com offers more than one million titles as low as $.79, in WMA format; however, most titles we searched for were priced at $.99. Music is encoded at a 128 or 256 bitrate depending on the label. You can search for songs by genre, song, album or keyword. They also have top 100 lists of songs and albums.

Although this site offers some of the lowest priced songs around, with only one million titles, we felt there was nothing particularly exceptional about BuyMusic compared to our higher ranked services.

BuyMusic offers genuinely good support through an army of FAQs, a technical support manual and an online form that allows you to send emails to the company's tech support team. There are not however, any tutorials or a telephone support line.
